At CREATE Center, cross-disciplinary researchers study the design and development of cutting-edge technology for education. The CREATE team seeks to tackle real world educational problems and experiments with innovative approaches. We work closely with teachers, schools, and organizational partners to understand the problems and disseminate our research-based solutions.

  • CREATE starts the new NSF-funded project IMRIEL to investigate the combined use of a robot and augmented reality to develop computational thinking.

  • CREATE Director Yanghee Kim assists UNESCO efforts to prepare children for future world.

  • The CREATE team spread the center mission and innovation overseas and participated in research workshops in Europe.

  • The introduction video of Project IDEAL to the 'STEM for All Video Showcase' is selected as a 'recognized presentation'.

  • The robot Skusie goes to Central Elementary School in Rochelle, IL and Cortland Elementary School in Cortland, IL.
